Hello, i am an MBBS student from india. I have heard of many medical oncologists in the UK doing their PhDs after/during my training(foundation years, core and speciaity training) in the UK. My questions are-
1.Are IMGs even allowed to pursue these PhDs. I mean I can get a PR after 6 years of staying in the UK so it shouldn't be a problem right? Will they not accept me for a PhD position because of my foreign bachelors degree?
2. When do medical oncologists get this PhD? Is it after ST4?
3. Are there any prominent immigrant doctors who went this route, or di you know any?
It would help me a ton if i could get any answer. Thanks
