So umm… quite a predicament! My EPQ discussion section (recommended 2700 words out of the total 5,000 words for the entire dissertation) currently stands at 3900! To be honest I’m shocked I’ve gotten that far as 2 nights ago I was on +5,000 JUST in the discussion! I have read it multiple times, my mam has proof read it and the librarian at my school yet I don’t know how to cut 1200 words!!
Any tips would be greatly appreciated-or any jokes to keep my sanity🥲

The only thing I can possibly think of is for my references (Harvard style) could I change them from this:
“words words words words words” ^1(Author, Year)
(The number at the start links to my bibliography)
And change it to:
“words words words words words” (1)
___________________________________________
Foot note:
(1) reference (not sure if this could be the Author and year that links to my bibliography or if it would have to be the full reference)
As I know that footnotes don’t count towards your total word count so it could cut a few hundred out?

It's not a hard word limit, more of a guide. I've known EPQs over 20,000 words that were awarded A*s It is fine.
