The Official "What are you wearing for interview?" thread

As a number of people here have got interviews, and none of us have enough to be worrying about at the moment (), what are you going to be wearing to interview?

have you got an interview myo?

I'll worry about that when I actually get an interview :p: But good thread idea for those lucky people who have already got interviews!
I'm wearing a suit... Not buying one for the sake of it, just that our school uniform is also a choice of any suit. I guess it'll make me feel as though I'm at school, so fairly relaxed.

Interview letter from Liverpool says it's "informal" so "smart but casual clothing is appropriate". I'm going to wear a toga :p:

Seriously though, it'll be a suit (shoes, jacket, trousers) with no tie and my top button undone most probably. Smart but also casual :yep:

Shirt, trousers, and a tie. And possibly a fetching jumper too, depends what mood I'm in.

My school don't wear a uniform, and I only have Asda Value shirts at the minute (yeah, I know, I'm a pikey :p:), so I think I'm going to have to invest in something a bit more substantial.

By the way, what makes this thread official?
I'll be wearing smart trousers, shoes and a shirt. I have never worn a suit and will probably look very uncomfortable in it. No tie for me either.
See you get everyone saying they'll wear a suit. If it was me this year, which it isnt, ive got another year to wait, I'd wear trousers, smart shoes, shirt (with undone button) and a jumper on top. maybe even roll up the sleeves slightly. a bit like this http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c370/beekloo/mcdreamy.jpg

obviously not in an as casual way, but like yes, the sleeves like that + other formal attire. maybe a jacket on top just for effect, thatll be like the smart entrance. it'll just be taken off before I sit down.

I've thought about this too much

Niiiiiiice pic :coma:

That's cool that Liverpool gave a dresscode of some sort... Last year it was kind of a pick 'n' mix at interviews with people coming in all sorts of things. But the majority wore suits.. I will tell you if I get an interview
i dunno..cant we just wear jeans?...hmm.. i gt 2 interviews i wanna wear cool jumper plus cool tie n plain black shirt mit trousers...

I got my interview for the SOAMS (PM me if you want to know more) scheme.

You'll see the tomster in a smart-casual look, possibly a tie.

Jeans is a big no-no I think.
I think its just really like, obviously trying to make the typical doctor impression going in a suit, so I think smart/casual is good, as it gives a good impression (hence the smart) and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable since you never really wear a shirt. After all, it's about how you perform in the interview, not the dress. as long as the first impression of what you wear is good, it should be alright
I really like this combo but I think I may play it safe and wear a nice suit if I get an interview. :s-smilie:
I think it's a bit harder for girls though, 'cause we can't just put on a suit.

Not even black skinnies with like, a jumper and blouse?

Loving it, Mena!

As for the cardigan; 65 quid!?! I haven't payed anything close to that for cardigans, coats or tops!

I got a suit today just for my interviews (my first btw)...cost me a £150 of my hard earned cash!
Are we allowed to go naked?
what is this, a fashion show?
I am wearing a trousers, jacket, shirt and tie. Black suit, white striped shirt, and pink/red tie.

The worker who helped pick it out was a medical student on the Leeds admission panel and he said that one thing they looked at was whether the top botton had been done. I am not applying leeds...but I am gona play safe anyway
