History - College?

My son got an offer in History, which is quite exciting. We are looking at colleges and we have identified that Hatfield, St Chad, University, St Cuth and St John were the ones worth considering in terms of proximity to the History Department.
Any insight on how to choose the right college? Any feedback/opinion?

Yes...you're right...but he's procrastinating!
Doesn't really matter, at the end of the day they're just glorified halls of residence so just pick whichever seems to fit one's needs best. There's a reasonable chance he'll end up at another college anyway (a pretty high chance if he picks University College since basically everyone puts it as their first choice when applying to Durham). Bear in mind some (like University College) have first years (possibly higher years too) share a room - not just a flat, but an actual room with two beds in it. This is something which a lot of people may not be keen on so, definitely worth considering.
