Cannot find any apprenticeships for Child Nursing

I have already applied to universities for child nursing and now I want to apply for apprenticeships for the subject. When I get all the offers, I'm thinking of choosing which one I'm more interested in. But I cannot find any actual child nursing apprenticeships. I think I would prefer a degree apprenticeship in child nursing but I am open to the other ones. Could someone send me some links (or something) for my search in child nursing apprenticeships, please?

Hey just did a quick search and I see that many universities offer the degree apprenticeship of child nursing.

If you can't find any 'roles' I'd say for now email those universities and ask them how you can apply. I'll link a few of the universities I've seen.

Hope this helps. In terms of applying for medical related apprenticeships it may be hard because majority of students opt to go to university but I hope you find at least one😊😊

Thank you so much for the reply! I might of just got confused or something maybe??? I don't know because I was looking at apprenticeships on the .GOV website, the NHS website, looking on indeed and just by researching on google. The only information I got was about experiences of nurses and stuff. No real application process for the apprenticeships... I'll make sure to look at the links you put and send some emails to universities. Also I hope too that I can find some child nursing apprenticeships but it's not that deep if I don't because I have applied to university for child nursing anyways. Thank you so much again :smile:

Most of the universities that are close to me have degree apprenticeships but they are for already for registered nurses. So I think I’m gonna stick to doing child nursing the ‘normal’ root. But I think I’m gonna ask a teacher at my 6th form to help me a bit more about trying to find an apprenticeship. Also I will email some universities about if they have any child nursing degree apprenticeships, later today. Thanks for the help!

Have a look at hospital websites. Apprenticeships are often on the vacancies section or similar.
Also contact them to see if they are planning any soon.
The ones I know are working as care assistants on paediatric wards and start the apprenticeship with that ward as their base.

I think Cambridge hospital does nursing apprenticeships for child nursing and its open to people who don't already work for them, try emailing the address on their apprenticeships web page.

The 1st half of any "nursing apprenticeship" is a "nursing associate apprenticeship" and it seems possible to do a one year university course to upgrade from "nursing associate" to quified child nurce. The "nursing associate" qualification seems to cover all benches of nurcing.

I had a careers fair recently where a bunch on unis and career/apprenticeship providers came and someone from the nhs was there too. I asked them about nursing apprenticeships and she told me you need to be in employment (like a healthcare assistant) and during the interviewing process, make it clear you want to progress on to become a nursing apprentice. I havent actually seen this on guides before but when looking to healthcare assistant roles, i found one that did mention educational opportunities like nursing apprentice. I hope that helps!
