What's the strangest/most oddly specific uni society you've heard of?

I recently found out that the university of York has a hummus appreciation society. https://yusu.org/student-life/clubs-and-socs#societies-a-z
Can anyone else top that?

Hi there!

We have a crisp appreciation society!! I love the fact that there's such a range of societies available at different universities!

Ana - UoL Ambassador
Cupcake eating, which honestly sounds great. I don't remember what uni though.

At Imperial there was the "asssassins guild", the idea being that each term members would be assigned the name of someone they had to "kill", preferably in quite an elaborate way. But I don't think it's been active for at least a few years.

There are some other very niche societies, like Renal and Urology. Kinky Klub is the one that all the freshers discover and join for a laugh, but the person who was really leading it the past few years has graduated and there's no committee for it anymore.

My current uni has something like that, can't for the life of me remember what it's called though.
