Bristol alternative course

I applied for Social Policy and Politics but was offered to be considered for just Social policy. I accepted because I did want to do social policy, and I think it is the part of politics that I am most interested in, but without politics I’m worried I won’t have as many job prospects. Is this true? Also, I’m worried that they will just reject me because it says that being considered for an alternative course doesn’t guarantee an offer. Are they likely to reject me after offering an alternative course?

Congratulations!

Do go through the course module to be sure it features all you need to advance in your career. You can as well write to the admission office to clarify the clause on your offer to be sure you are making the right choice by accepting. Is the University the only one you applied to?
Career prospects from a politics vs social policy vs joint honours in both degree are probably more or less the same, especially if both courses are from the same uni.

Those are good grades! I know it’s not guaranteed, but I’m hoping that them offering an alternative course is a good sign.. let me know here when you hear back.. hopefully they don’t take too long to respond

Your options with any sort of Social Sciences degree are BIG - you will have all the skills that employers want.
Go for Social Policy, its a very 'good' department at Bristol and you will have a good, useful degree.

Like a week or so later I think? Don’t stress cause the fact they’re offering you an alternative course definitely means they want you there, otherwise they would just reject you
