EPA dental nurse

I have my EPA with C&G at 11:00 today and honestly have no idea what to expect. I have completed all my coursework and am now super worried if I fail this I won’t pass and will loose my job! I get very nervous speaking with people I don’t know and tend to forget my name let alone anything else. Any advice would be amazing!!

So wish I saw this sooner! How did it go? I did my EPA with city and guilds two years ago, I was SO nervous but I ended up passing with flying colours! I assume you must have your results by now!

Thank you, however it was an absolute nightmare. Trying to cut a long story short, I was told by my assessor not to attend the first link only the second, I was meant to attend the first one so missed it 😭 no awaiting for it to be re booked. I’m so deflated, this has take over two years as covid has shown it down as I’m sure it has for everyone. Just want to get passed!

Look on the bright side, you have more time to prepare now lol. I rang my manager balling my eyes out the day before my EPA as I was so worked up with complete panic and worry but when it came to it, it was nowhere near as bad as what I thought. The C&G assessor was so lovely and understood covid was a massive issue for everyone, they're not there to fail you they really do want you to pass. I wasn't asked anything that I didn't know about and the conversation was just natural after that as it was all about dental nursing (obviously lol) the only thing I didn't get was the two types of chartings (FDI and palmers) I just couldn't remember it for the life of me and thought I failed as she had to prompt me 3/4 times but I passed. Any other questions just ask!

That’s reassuring thank you. I’m a huge worrier anyway so all this is not helping 🤣 I’m sure It will be fine. I just hate not knowing what’s coming (which I realise defeats the object if you did) thank you so much, I will keep you posted 😊

Yes please do  If you know the ins and outs of a dental nurse and you've passed all your exams, there shouldn't be anything you can't answer

Hi, i dont know if anyone is still on this thread, but i have my end point assessment booked in a few weeks time and im freaking out about it so much. Please can anyone give me advice, how difficult are the questions? Are we allowed to look at our portfolios? What happens if we get stuck on a question and dont know the answer?
