clearing economics

does anyone know/think if at Warwick and Nottingham they do or will do clearing this year for economics and economics-related courses? 2022
Also generally are clearing spots first come first serve?
Also if you got the grades for your offer for your firm can you still go through clearing and go to a different university?
No one will know what will be in clearing this year, and just because something has been in clearing in the past doesn't mean it will be again in the future. Both Nottingham and Warwick are very competitive for economics though.

Clearing is entirely first come first served. That's largely the point of it, unis looking to fill all their spaces as soon as they can. It's why it gets very stressful for students having to ring round all the unis to find if there are spots.

You can only enter clearing if you are holding no offers. You can self-release into clearing if you are holding an offer, but this declines all your offers. If you don't want to go to the uni you are considering making your firm or insurance offer, you are probably best off not firming or insuring them (or more generally, not having applied there at all in the first place, although this is more for reference for others in future assuming you have already applied this year).
