I am interested in starting a career in intelligence, and I have been looking at intelligence opportunities with the civil service (like MOD & Home Office) and civilian police staff intelligence roles.
I tend to satisfy the education requirements, most look for HNC and I have a DipHE. However, what lets me down is my lack of experience in the field as this seems to be a typical requirement on top of any education requirements. I have looked into other sectors that use intelligence analysts/officers like fraud investigation, but they too look for experience in intelligence.
Is there anyone who knows much about getting into this field? Entry opportunities that I might be missing, or a way 'in' that I could consider?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

There are intelligence/investigative roles in Criminal & Financial Investigations which is part of the Home Office and they are advertising at the minute on CS Jobs for EO roles, worth a try.
MoD is extremely difficult to get into for intelligence, think MI6 and its similar level of difficulty
