RAF pilot

How hard is it to be selected as an RAF pilot in the UK?
Will a levels help or is it purely on their interviews and tests?

The selection process is explained on the RAF Recruitment website.

Some people find it easy, some find it hard, some will never make it; it's competitive for any Officer application.

A levels (or equivalent level 3 qualification) are needed - as you'd have found very easily from: https://www.raf.mod.uk/recruitment/roles/roles-finder/aircrew/pilot

If you've done something like BTEC instead of A levels, the equivalence (a bit like UCAS points) is here: https://www.raf.mod.uk/recruitment/media/1651/educational-equivalents.pdf

Some figures here which might put applications/places into perspective: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/742474/response/1777349/attach/3/20210426%20FOI2021%2003526%20Wells%20WDTK%20Final.pdf

Use in conjunction with this one for likely numbers being recruited for the next couple of years:
