Chester and religion

Hi,

I was just wondering about religion here. See I came to visit and noticed there where a lot of churches in chester and througj further research discovered that the university is based on Christian values. I don’t have much choice in unis due to my grades, but I do have a bit of trauma regarding religion so I just wanted to ask, would it be hard as a atheist student to feel comfortable here?

Thankss

As an atheist, I've done 2 degrees via University of Chester, lived in Chester for 12 years, and always felt comfortable here. The whole based on Christian values thing was never mentioned throughout either degree (with 3 years' gap between 1st and 2nd time studying - 7 years in total).
