how many past papers should you do to get an A/A*?

Hey,

So part of my revision I am planning to do all the past papers from the speicimen papers to the 2021 papers. That would be 6 sets of papers for all three of my subjects bio, chem and psych. And studying the mark schemes and past papers. Then redoing the papers where I get lower than 65% and any qs I found particularly hard.

What do you guys think?

Should I do the older papers too and other examboards or is my current plan fine
Wouldn't recommend doing other exam boards papers as their question types and mark schemes may be completely different and would be unhelpful and time-wasting at best and confusing or detrimental at worst.
There isn’t a set number of past papers that one should do in order to expect an A*.

Older papers are fine, but should only be used as a baseline with what you’re working with.

Other exam boards are fine, provided that you have no more papers from your exam board left. It should be used for knowledge testing, rather than exam technique practice.
