Just did my interview this week. The professor interviewing me happened to be the faculty I mentioned in my application, which was crazy. The other interviewer was a senior teaching faculty in the biostats unit. They were super friendly, and the questions were mostly casual, with some stats-specific questions. I am ID track, for your perspective.

Honestly, it was a fun experience! For me, they did not go into my application form much, but more used what I said in my answers as a springboard. For HDS I would expect technical questions, mine was mostly technical questions but they guide you through if you were stuck. I wouldn't overly stress, they were really nice and the environment was relaxed.

Can you tell me a bit about your background please, I also applied for the HDS stream on the 30th of November but still haven’t heard back

Currently studying for a BSc in Mathematics, and just completed a placement year working in Statistical Programming at a pharmaceutical company. Done extracurriculars regarding Data Science / ML too. I am sure that you will find out soon enough!! I think they said 12 weeks.

Thank you for the insight 🙂 was it statistical stuff like probabilities or case studies that they spoke to you about?
