Essex or Greenwich?

Idk which uni to pick... any advice?

I really like the look of Essex (Colchester) campus and there seems to be a few more nightlife-y things on campus. But I really love the Greenwich campus aswell but also the area, obviously because it's London.

But Essex campus is a bit far from the town and I'm wondering whether Colchester is actually a good town to live in, in terms of general social life and fun stuff to do. And I live in Hertfordshire/Essex/London way and I'm pretty sure I'd have to get 3 hour long bus journeys, and I hate buses lol I'd much rather take the train home. I have anxiety aswell (homesickness) so will probably want to go home a lot,

But Greenwich is obviously expensive, and 2nd and 3rd year idk how I would even find affordable accom in London. And I don't know if the student union/campus is very good for nightlife, I'd have to go to clubs elsewhere in London which would cost a fortune...

I think pick whichever you feel the strongest about. btw colchester town is not that far away from the uni its like a 20 minute bus ride. As for social life it can be quite isolating sometimes but the uni plans a lot of events so that you don't miss out on socialising. Also if you need any advice on accommodating i can help you. :smile:

Yeah I'm not really bothered about reputation or ranking tbh because I'm mainly going for the social life loll

I don't know, from my experience lol and with the pandemic, it has been even more isolating. Don't get put off because of this every uni is isolating a bit and everyone will have a different experience.
