High street shops may need staff. Start looking in mid Spring, as all the students need their jobs back in the summer!

Office temp? You'd be filing all day though.

How would I find office work? And why will the thread get moved?

My friend signed up with an agency, and they sent her details about vacancies in offices. She then followed up the vacancies in the normal way; application/CV and covering letter.
I think the job centre would do much the same, but agencies tend to specialise in certain fields.

And job threads almost invariably get moved to the careers forum.

the best way to do it is to go to a temping agency in your area, however the work is BORING, my friends boyfrien had to sit in an office all day checking people forms were filled in correctly, BUT he was getting paid £9 p/h.

Does anyone know the names of some agencies? I suppose I'll have to look in the Yellow pages.

Now you see that is the kind of job I would want to do..

I used to work in a pub and although it was interesting and things were never the same I hated the constant interaction with members of the public and the fact that if I made a slight mistake they would moan and stuff-oh the social anxeity. Give a monotonous job in an office any day!!
