I don’t think so. It’s said this for a while:

”Thank you very much for attending the recent interview.

We will be in contact with you shortly to let you know the next stage of the recruitment process.”

I’m not sure if there’s a difference between our messages on the portal or if there is, what it means!

Are you still in the pre-employment checks? I have received my DBS and filled in the health questionnaires, and they have been in contact with my referees, just wondering how long it will all take!☺️

Yep still in the pre-employment checks. It usually takes about a month or two I think, but once the pre-employment checks are done it usually speeds up!
My check has been completed now - just waiting on offer letter and contract. Does anyone know how long it takes roughly?
I think it’s a couple of weeks. I’ve got my start date in September.

When did you get told your start date? I’ve basically heard nothing since the start of the check until now 😱

Once your pre employment checks have been complete your vacancy manager should get in touch to ask whether you want crime or family and in which area. My VM was in touch a couple of days after my checks were done (which was about three weeks ago) and we confirmed my start date last week. Now I’m just waiting on the contract from the MOJ to come through (but mine is an internal transfer from CPS so it might be a quicker process than normal as I didn’t have to go through all the checks new employees do).
Got made an offer today after being placed on the reserve list after my interview in June! Did anyone have any pre-planned time off which was honoured? I have a holiday booked in October but the job advert states not to take too much time off so I'm a bit worried!

If you’ve just been offered the post I wouldn’t worry too much as it’s doubtful you’ll be in post by October.

The pre-employment checks seem to take between 2-3 weeks, once you’ve filled in all the relevant forms. HMCTS then need about 3 weeks to get your IT etc sorted, and if you’re already in employment you’ll probably have to work a months notice - but you shouldn’t hand your notice in until you’ve signed your contract with HMCTS. So it’s likely to take a while and we’re nearly in September already

Has anyone else not heard anything at all since the completion of the pre-employment checks? It's been nearly three weeks since my checks were successfully completed and I've had nothing at all, either from MOJ with the contract or from my Vacancy Manager to arrange a start date / location.

I haven’t heard anything at all - also been weeks since I heard about the pre-employment check being completed. Fingers crossed, any day now.
I got my allocation but it wasn’t on my list - does anyone know if I could discuss it with the senior legal manager to see if I could be allocated elsewhere?

I think you would have to try and discuss it with the vacancy manager. I didn’t get the specific area in my region I wanted but they were unable to change it (I accepted what I was offered).

I spoke to the legal team manager who was able to put me within one of my allocated regions!

As a side note, I've received my contract and was wondering what the salary for everyone else is? I remember reading from last years thread that people were on around £30,000 in their contract for a non-London court, but my salary is nowhere near that?

The salary for a trainee definitely isn’t around £30k and it wasn’t that last year, as I have a friend who started last year as a trainee outside of London.

The salary should have been on the job advert - I believe it’s around £25k.

I think salaries have changed this year. I am a trainee outside London and my salary is £31k, i started this Jan. I checked online and new trainees are getting £25k, with an increase to £31k after the first year. Not sure why that is. This has me worried about my salary increase when i move to being a tier 1 l/a
