b. What color change would the student observe at the end point of the titration?
At the endpoint of the titration, the color would change from colourless/clear to pink
ci. How many moles of hydrochloric acid were there in the volume of acid added in the titration?
18300 dm3 (not sure)
cii. Write the balanced equation for the reaction of hydrochloric acid with calcium hydroxide.
Ca(OH)2 + 2HCl ----- CaCl2 + 2H20
ciii. How many moles of calcium hydroxide were there in the 25 cm3 sample of solution that the student used in the titration?
25000(not sure)
civ. What was the concentration of the calcium hydroxide solution in mol/dm3?
0.0183(not sure)
d. Read the paragraph at the start of the question that says how the student did the experiment. State and explain one way in which the titration might have been done more accurately.
Use a pipette to measure volumes and not a measuring cylinder

What colour change would the student observe at the end-point of the titration? Pink
c.i. How many moles of hydrochloric acid were there in the volume of acid added in thetitration
n= c xv
(18.3 x 0.05)/1000 = 9.15 x 10-4

ii. Write the balanced equation for the reaction of hydrochloric acid with calcium hydroxide
Ca(OH)2 + 2HCl ------------- CaCl2 + 2H20
iii. How many moles of calcium hydroxide were there in the 25 cm3sample of solution that the student used in the titration
2 x 9.15 x 10-4 =1.83 x10-3

marks)iv. What was the concentration of the calcium hydroxide solution in mol/dm3
C= n/v = 1.83 x10-3/0.025
