hi, i need urgent help with my history coursework. the question is 'In the context of 1688-1789, how far was French involvement in the American War of Independence to blame for the outbreak of the French Revolution in 1789?'. i have already written one historian who argues the enlightenment side of it, and i now need to talk about a historian who believes the revolution to be caused by the series of wars leading up to the revolution which cost France a great deal. does anyone know historians with this view? finding it really hard to actually find someone who believes it to be due to this, any help would be appreciated
