Turnitin

I just wrote a paper that's part of my Msc assessment and I ask my sister who's a lecturer in Nigeria to read through and do a plagiarism check on turnitin. Please am worried because my school also uses turnitin for submission of assignments, will my work pop up as plagiarized if I finally submit it on my school's turnitin?

If she did a plagiarism check, and your uni uses the same software, then it is likely that it will come back as previously submitted work. At best, it could be self-plagiarism which in itself if academic misconduct.

The only way I can think it may not appear to your uni is if the settings are such they or your sister did not store the work in their repository.

I would write to your lecturer and explain what you have done. I have to ask why would you do this in the first place unless you were doubting your own paraphrasing skills?
