I have a question about the paralegal apprenticeship though. If you eventually get allowed to do the solicitor apprenticeship from the paralegal apprenticeship, do you get 2 years deducted from your solicitor apprenticeship? I know the LLB takes 3/4 years but can it be fast tracked? I heard Clifford Chance now has a paralegal apprenticeship btw

Yes! It depends on which law firm though. However, most will consider you taking a Solicitor Apprenticeship after you have completed your Paralegal Apprenticeship receiving a qualification at the end.

Nothing yet, however I've decided to take an apprenticeship outside of Law and in Finance  Hope everything works out for you!
I did a video interview a few week backs and only sent of my NRF the other day.
Have you done the test for NRF yet?

I got rejected from Simmons & Simmons so if you're not heard back that's probably a good thing.
Nothing from NRF.

Can I ask when you got rejected?

I hope you have better luck at NRF, I've been rejected from a bunch too. Any luck anywhere else?

I got invited to do the admissions test for Simmons & Simmons but have not heard back since, don’t think I did really well in it tbf. I don’t think NRF will be replying to any applicants until after the deadline, as they have said they do NOT look at applications on a roll-on basis, meaning they’ll look at everything past the deadline. Hope this helped x

A few weeks ago , around 9 days after my initial application.

I was unsuccessful for the following:

Mayer Brown, Osborne Clarke & Irwin Mitchell.

Please do not put yourself down. Rejection is redirection and I honestly believe that everything will be aligned for you. Just know that you will be fine and don't take this too personally. It may be difficult to process at first however you'll be fine. I know Simmons & Simmons LLP and Norton Rose Fulbright are currently taking applications for Solicitor Apprenticeships.

If you want to, also look at other degree apprenticeships/school leaver programmes to do with Finance, Technology or IT

Wishing all the best for you!

Hi, I’m looking to apply to Osborne Clarke! Could you please share any tips for me on how to prepare?

I think applications for the 2022 September cohort are closed? But if you're applying for next year, honestly my tips are to be yourself, be honest, connect and network with as much Solicitor Apprentices (or Apprentices in general) on LinkedIn for that matter.

Research the role, research the company, see whether or not doing a Degree Apprenticeship is for you. You're studying part-time and working full-time, just keep that in mind.

Out of curiosity does the assessment at Simmons & Simmons show you your test result straight away? Best of luck with your NRF application

So the Simmons & Simmons assessment has sort of the same layout as the LNAT. 30 MCQ analysis questions (1hr) and then 30 minutes to write a 500 word essay. Unfortunately you don’t get to know the outcome of the test, and the essay has to be marked by BPP before a mark is given, you will simply find out if you made it through to the next stage if the firm contact you after getting your results. And thank you!
