There is increasing recognition of the public health challenges that we as a society face, including the global Coronavirus pandemic. It is the perfect time to launch a career in public health if you are interested in:

Helping people to stay healthy and protecting them from threats to their health.

Tackling health inequalities.

Educating and empowering communities about health issues.

Our BSc (Hons) Public Health and Community Wellbeing degree will give you a wide range of public health skills and hands-on practical experiences. Job opportunities as a graduate with this degree are diverse and exciting.

You'll also be able to progress to further specialist study. At postgraduate level, we offer a Master of Public Health degree designed for those looking to move into public health, policy or community development at a senior level, with an emphasis on leadership and strategic thinking.

How are you?

Great question. Job opportunities as a graduate with this degree are diverse and exciting. You can go straight into the work place, some of our recent grads have taken up roles such as:
Early Years Practitioner, Mental Health Support Worker, Project Manager (Destitute Asylum Seekers), Health and Social Care Manager, Advocate (Learning Disabilities), Quality Assurance Officer (Public Health England) and Diabetes Champion prevention worker.

From the undergrad degree you can then go into further study such as: MPH Masters in Public Health, MA in Social Work, MA in Education, MA in Psychology, MSc Occupational Therapy.

Or, you can go into different careers such as:
Health Promotion Officer, Community Development Worker, Minority Ethnic Health Officer, Stop Smoking Advisor, Housing Officer, Drugs and Alcohol Support Worker, Social Prescriber, Infectious Disease Analyst, Epidemiologist, Wellbeing Officer, Health Researcher.
