State the effect of an increase in temperature on the equilibrium yield of methanol and explain your answer

Is there an equation/reaction given? I would assume it is to do with whether the reaction is endothermic or exothermic, and how the position of equilibrium is affected by an increase in temperature.

If the reaction is exothermic, i.e. enthalpy change is negative, increasing temperature will decrease the yield of methanol.
