Liverpool studio accom for first year undergraduate

I’m currently applying for accommodation to study Med at UoL and I originally wanted to get a studio accommodation. However from what I’ve read apparently it can get lonely or it can be hard to make friends when living in a studio accommodation. So my question is, should I choose an en-suite with a shared kitchen or a studio flat? For context, I’m particularly interested in Vine Court or Philharmonic Court for Liverpool which both have a lounge with studio accommodation.

Naturally a shared kitchen will be more social as you will bump into your 6 or so other flatmates making it easier to socialise. I imagine you can still have a social life living in a studio but you might have to make more of an effort to go out and meet people. Some people prefer their own space and wouldn’t be comfortable sharing fridge/ freezer etc whereas others don’t mind, it’s just personal preference.
