Hi actually I’m trying to pgce in Social Science. For January 2025 intake I secured place at university of Essex ( MA Politics ) ,but after research I came to know job after MA or Funded PhD after MA is very difficult. So I thought of taking safe route and got to know about PGCE QTS . Can you please clarify me regarding the employment situation after this course

I have an equivalency test for Maths coming up at Cardiff Met since my GCSE grade from 16 years ago was a C and not the required B. Absolutely dreading it as I'm not particularly good at it and really struggle with the more difficult elements (e.g. factorising equations, finding angles / lengths of a triangle using COS and SIN etc).
Does anyone have any particular experience of the equivalency test offered by Cardiff MET for this? We were advised to look at WJEC past papers but those are actual GCSEs and I'm assuming not completely representative of what I will sit on the day.

Hello! I am also not meeting the requirements for secondary English due to a D in Maths... Now they only require Cs but still, I am bad at this and have not worked on it for the past 5 years. Do you know what are the equivalency tests? I cannot find them ... Would you know which one would be the easiest? Thank youuu
