I've accepted an offer for IB from HSBC but I still kinda want to see how my BB applications go. How bad would it be to back out of the HSBC offer if I end up getting another offer that I prefer?

Has anyone done or know what a first-round interview with Rothschilds is like?

Hi mate, did you get a feedback report a few days after?

I would just take it. You could apply elsewhere as well

After you finish the test, you get an immediate email that confirms receipt of your test and in it is a link to your feedback report.

Anyone done the Credit Suisse HireVue? Anything particular to note?

I have to do that too, if anyone knows something that would be very helpful

How many stages are there after the video interview?

Has anyone heard back from JPM after the Hireview. I think it went pretty well but I submitted it on the 8th of September and the portal still says in progress.

Defo take it. I'm very sure u can back out later for a better opportunity later on. Just say u reconsidered ur options or some bs and think HSBC is a great place but not where you want to start ur career. I'm pretty sure many ppl so it every year but just double check don't want to be in a contract u can't get out of.

Roadman I saw ur messages b4 and I'm in a similar pos. Going into third year and have applied to a few GM grad roles but most BB don't do grad roles for GM. It's very common for M&A but not GM. For the rest I'm applying for summers (most let u apply as final years) and for those that don't I'll just do a masters. Just did a summer at a BB in GM (didn't convert) and at least 30% of them were final years with no plans for a masters lol. The bank also said they only wanted penultimate year students for the summer so dw u can defo apply to summers.

it's never too late to apply. My mate got JP last year and her AC was in Jan. Loads of ppl I know who applied early got nothing and loads who applied later got summers. True it's better to apply early but I know plenty of people who got summers and only started in Nov. Quality of application is much more important. So apply early if u can but its not too deep if you are just applying now.

Thanks for thisI really appreciate this. I’ve split my applications between grad and summer roles. If I don’t secure anything I’ll try off cycles.

Honestly I’ve got experience but it just seems futile trying to break in. Are you open to connecting on LinkedIn?

yh sure pm me. Yeah it's very hard to break in, supply of headcount and demand is totally off imo and the headwinds aren't helping but if you get in the bag and enviroment is mad.
Anyone know Lazard written responses and video questions ? Can trade for other banks such as ubs bofA Jpm and pimco
