Curbar accommodation Sheffield

Hi, I'm fairly sociable but I don't like clubbing and I don't really drink much so I thought Ranmoor would be more the place for me, but I don't want to miss out too much on Endcliffe. Curbar is on the edge of Endcliffe, does that mean it's quieter? What's the social scene like in Curbar? Thanks
Hi there!

I can't give you much info on Curbar specifically but you are right, there is always a lot going on in Endcliffe. I personally stayed in Ranmoor for my 1st year as I wanted a balance of social life and studying/sleeping and I found Ranmoor was a perfect fit for me. Endcliffe is definitely the busier of the two student villages, there's always something going on. It can be a bit noiser than Ranmoor which was one of the reasons I went with Ranmoor. Ranmoor and Endcliffe are super close to each other (essentially across the road and down a hill, 5 mins) so I'd often meet up with any friends in Endcliffe to socialise and there were often things going on in Ranmoor too! It is really a personal preference when it comes to picking halls, just go with what you would feel more comfortable with! Best advice for 1st year don't stress too much about missing out on things, there's always something going on and just make the most of it without putting too much pressure on yourself !!

Hope this helps you out a bit! Feel free to ask anything else
