I did a portfolio for Huddersfield. Mine wasn’t online but a word document I had to complete. It’s basically 4 self reflections totally 2,000 words, plus individual questions for each reflection so in total for the portfolio it accumulates to about 3,000-4,000 words, plus X amount of hours as part of my conditions for the degree. They use your portfolio self reflections and X amount of hours worked as your first year placement completed before you start the degree, as the MSc is only 2 yrs so you kinda did some of the work using the job you’re in. I’ve been told they mark it and if the tutors need me to change anything they’ll contact me. Also because you have a short period of time to complete it gives you an idea of the intensity of the degeee and if it’s practical for you with your home family life and work. Many drop out at this stage realising it’s too much work to balance with their responsibilities, and tend to reapply when the know they’ll be able to balance studying and home, work life. Hope this helps.
