Do you know the period of y = tan x?

The second question is arguably simpler than the 1st because it's just a horizontal translation of the tan graph. So what do you think the answer is going to be?

Good - so now you should be able to answer both parts of the original question :smile:
if the graph is just translated it will not change the period.

if it is stretched or squashed that will increase or decrease the period
