It's worth noting that pedophillia has been medicalised more recently and that there's a lot of controversy regarding it's inclusion.
Another, semi related case is that of transgenders, in ICD-10 transgenderism (or transexualism as it was known) was a scheduled disorder. However in the newest update, it has been removed. It shows how (perceived or actual) mental health "disorders" are always in flux.
But yeah, pretty controversial stuff. Even slightly alluding to it has derailed the thread.
As gross as this persons inclinations/orientation/disease/fetish/perversion[insert whatever you want to call it] may be, is that person committing crime? No they aren't - yet they're still a paedophile.

You can't trial someone without evidence. If a pedophile never acts on their impulses then they're not harming anyone, but if they commit a crime relating to pedophillia then they should absolutely be punished for it.

I'm not defending pedos lol. I'm saying that now, in this country, if someone has pedophillic thoughts, they can go to see a medical specialist. You don't just have to be a child molester to be a pedophile. Being consistently attracted to children (regardless if you have act on it) makes you a pedophile - "medically speaking".
You are defending pedophiles by saying that "only people who have commited child sex abuse are pedos"... In that case, you are leaving out a ton of people who are quite frankly.. pedos.
My main controversial question was this: Currently pedophillia is classified as medical disorder - do you agree?
