I started learning in January and I'm due to take my test soon (failed first one on what was supposedly my strongest point - manoeuvres!), and I have to say it's only in the past couple of months that I've been good with my decision-making at roundabouts. They used to terrify me. I think the general trend is that people who are good at taking things slow, thinking things through carefully tend to excel with manoeuvres but obviously aren't as good at roundabouts, and those who are good and confident enough to make quick decisions tend to be a bit sloppy with manoeuvres.
