Did you see the email they sent today? I had to swap one of my options as the depatment i picked are not recruiting this year now!! Slightly concerned about the other departments

Do you mind sharing the departments that are recruiting? I've applied to mainstream Economist stream and looking to see if the department im interested in is still recruiting

Why are you concerned about the options that are recruiting? I've worked for 3 of them previously/currently now, I don't think there is a worry there. What did you go for? I think because the work area is slightly different and more niche than a lot of work done within the department itself it's not a job retention concern in all honesty :smile:

To the above poster where were you applying? The list is quite extensive still for where we could choose- variety of departments. It said today will hear back on allocations week commencing 13th

It varied on location too which department was recruiting where, I think it also said subject to change so it seems one of those things we have to just go with. They all sound interesting in their own ways though in all honesty. Although I did put HM land registry as my not interested option haha. Which location are you, I'll see if I can drag up the list for that location for you

I don't really understand what you mean by this. The email stated the impact on fast stream recruitment is for 2023, and this current trawl is unlikely to be affected. How do you know one of your departments is no longer recruiting for Research Officers?
