Can Silicon conduct electricity?

Yes , I clicked on that and read it before putting this question on TSR
Next time don't judge
Kind of hoped someone with chemistry knowledge would write an answer here that relates to the spec. 'Semiconductor' isn't on the spec.

although it's a giant covalent structure such as carbon's structures (diamond, graphite etc...) it cannot conduct since each Si atom is bonded to four other si atoms, so no delocalised electrons to carry charge. this is a similar case in diamond.
