I'm thinking of choosing my insurance to be a school away from home, but my firm is at home. When applying for student finance, there's only one option to choose whether or not I will live away from home. What would happen if I chose that I would stay at home but missed my firm?

If your university changes then you update your application in August with the new details (including where you will live).

Hi, thanks for your reply! I'm still a little confused; so when you apply for student finance, when would the amount that you apply for be finalised? Does the loan go through on your first day at uni or will it go through on the day you get your results?

Any payments will not be released until you have started your course. We would approve your application with the details you have on your account just now. If you need to amend this you can do this later on results day.
Thanks, Erin
