BBC still single at 35, is there any hope out there for me?

I'm a British born Chinese woman, who's going to be 36 this year and to date I have only ever had one real relationship, it lasted 2 weeks and I was 17 yrs old. My social circle slowly vanished and disappeared with covid. So now, I ask you all, is there still hope out there for me? I'm not and not have used any of those dating apps or websites, they're just not for me.

Statistically yes, but I don't think anyone on TSR will know the answer or improve your odds. Good luck
Read the heading and thought 'This can't be serious. Thankfully the body text cleared it up (;.

On serious note, OP. I'd firstly say that having a two-week relationship when you were 17 can't really be counted as serious. Come on...

To answer your question, of course, there is hope. You need to get yourself out there. Meet people! Seriously, nowadays less and less are settling into lifelong marriages and I personally know a few people your age who are single and dating around. Not much else we can say. You're searching for validation and an answer to a problem that only you can solve.

Finally, some friendly advice. Please use any other forum apart from TSR for this kind of question. Most people are high schoolers or the like. Not adults.

If you’re not down to use dating apps you’re going to have to be meeting people outside of work. Is there a club you can join nearby
I thought BBC meant something else lol.

First of all, you need to explore all avenues to meet people whether it is in public, via dating apps or in pubs/restaurants. You are eliminating a potentially large pool of candidates by not using dating apps like hinge, bumble, PoF, onlyfans, tinder etc.

Second, what types of guys do you prefer and are you picky? Do you like only British Chinese guys? What about Indian, Jewish, black, white and other asian guys? Maybe strike up a friendship with a black or Jewish guy and see where things would go.

Finally, you should probably look for ways to network or engage with the public. Covid has unfortunately created isolation of people, so going out more would be a good idea. Approach guys and hope for the best.

I know,

I also thought it was going to be the anniversary of the BBC News Channel... but realised it's 25 years not 35.

There’s always hope, but you can’t expect it to come to you. This is the product of you waiting for the right guy to come to you and not trying, why don’t you approach people who you think are attractive?
Also, you may just have to give those dating websites a shot; if not, you will just have to go out in public.
There are plenty of guys who are fine with older women too - I was on a casual thing with a 26 going on to 27 year old when I was 18.
Yes, there is plenty of hope and many potentially compatible guys in the dating sea.

I have many female friends of similar age to you and older who still hoping to find a suitable bf or partner who shares their ambitions & lifestyle preferences.
The pandemic has been intensely disruptive of so many environments and spheres of life.
Particularly dating and maintaining pre-pandemic access to helpful social, networking & support networks.

Consider these questions:
What are your ambitions within the next 12 months and over the next 3 years?
What type of attraction dealbreakers and relationship preferences do you have?
Do you want to have biological children?
Or consider having a relationship with a guy who wants children (adopted or biological)?
Have you considered registering with a dating agency or matchmaking service?
Going to a speed dating event?
Or any singles event to meet single professionals?
Good luck!
Do you want to date a Chinese person or a white etc also COVID has only been around for three years so there must have been problems before then.
