Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Strength

Does chronic fatigue affect your strength?

For example if someone is normally very fit and strong, they can lift easily and have natural strength, do they get weaker if they start to experience symptoms?
From looking on the NHS website, It says "Exercising usually makes the symptoms worse. Sometimes the effect is delayed and you'll feel very tired a few hours after you've exercised, or even the next day."
I have chronic fatigue which coincides with me being an epileptic. If anything, exercising has helped me feel much more energized. Progress does take a bit longer to make though because we can burn out a bit quicker.
