Practical Driving test in different city?

Has anyone traveled to a different city to do their practical driving test or is planning to do this? The backlog is so bad . I am considering doing it 2hrs away and finding a driving instructor to do a few lessons before test date.

My friend did and she passed. The point of a driving test is, unless your examiner is an ***, is to see if you can drive. If you can drive, you should be able to drive anywhere and not just on your usual route :P

Thanks, do you know if they used a different instructor as well for her test in a different city? or just turned up on the day

ah, I missed the second part of your post - sorry! They had their own car by that point so they had their parent drive up with them. It may be hard for you to find another instructor but you could always ask your current one if they would do it, if you haven't already.
