Serious question, how long does cannabis stay on your skin etc
I had a few puffs of a flatmates spliff last night and they are in room next to me and smoke all the time.
This is going to sound bad of me but I have a brother in jail and have realised that in 2 weeks its his once a year open day where instead of seeing him 1 hour a month can see him all morning and afternoon.
But of course theres sniffer dogs
I heard before that particles of the drug can be left on skin and hair for ages afterwards.
Is this true etc

Having traces in your skin and / or hair is no arrestable offence unless you're driving - then it's as bad as being 4 times over the legal limit, so go by taxi and you'll be OK.

Cannabis doesn't stay on your skin as far as I'm aware, so there's nothing to worry about. It can be detected by machine from your hair, but not if you've only had a few puffs. 6 weeks is what they say it takes for it to get out your system(for urine tests), but if you're not overweight, and did only have a few puffs, you really have nought to worry about.

It was mainly that there is a sniffer dog before you go into the prison so it might smell it on me, and yes I am overweight but in halls so my flatmates smoke it daily inc people in next 3 rooms.
The reason that im worried that if the dog sniffs drugs on you even if none are found you cant see the person and for the next few months you have to see them in a locked room when visiting.

I remember being offered a chance of going on a trip to the local prison with uni for my course. They suggested that if we did any drugs or lived with people who did drugs then we shouldn't go along as the sniffer dogs would pick it up. I didn't go because my housemate smoked it regularly at the time and I was worried of smelling like it.

I guess but surely there would be particles left?
I ask because I had a friend at college who was a pot head who used to shave his head and sometimes eyebrows as he said it got rid of most of the leftover drugs on skin, and that was the reason why chavs were skinheads too.

YOU'D feel bad? Surely THEY should feel bad for making you move/leave the room!
Just have a word! They'll understand and will hopefully reduce amounts fort the week or smoke only when you're not in.

Just because it would be telling about 3 or 4 people not to smoke just because I said so, its not about them smoking it as I dont mind but its that it may cause problems.
That being said though they usually go outside to smoke so then id just sit inside and wait.

Unless your rolling around in piles of weed, there's not going to be any particles on your skin.
People who stink of weed are the ones in sit in a smoked filled room for three days straight without bothering to shower.
You'll be fine, dont worry xD

Also, I wasn't telling you to tell them not to smoke, just if they could do it outside and if not, to not be offemded if you leavre the room. Explain why and go back to normal after the prison visit and al should be well!

Don't worry about it.
Even if you did smell of it, they can't do anything about it. They can only arrest you if you have some with you.
The chances are the dogs won't even smell it. If they do, you were at a party the other night and people were smoking it.
