I'm gonna fail maths gcse

Hi, Long story short I have basically gone back into college at 19 to get my maths and english gcse. English has gone well and I feel ill pass that but the issue is maths. I was placed in higher tier for some reason, I have revised for it alot this last month and nothing is going in. I feel so stupid, I looked at foundation and that looks alot easier to pass. Any advice on how to get the best grade possible and just scrape a pass? Many thanks -Mat
have you tried youtube videos? i particularly like 'the GCSE maths tutor', might be worth a try?

Hi I had similar problem when I was doing gcses I was on foundation and then put into higher tier with only a month of revision I watched maths videos and did A LOT of past questions. Do maths questions along with the videos and do past papers even if you get them wrong, you’re learning and there is time to get the highest grade possible you can. I was targeted a 4 then got a 7 with hard work, and I’m not that capable in maths. I made a folder for all my maths work and went back to it when I forgot information. You just have to familiarise yourself with the question types and make sure you do both the easier and harder topics. Good luck  + and I agree with muttley79 it’s harder to get a pass on foundation than higher as you need more marks overall

You need more marks on Foundation to get a grade 4.

Have you looked at the 2022 resources here: https://www.drfrostmaths.com/course.php?category=examboards [pick your exam board]

MathsMade Easy is also good: https://mathsmadeeasy.co.uk/gcse-maths-revision/

No problem  and yes I used mathswatch!! I made a folder for each topic I was studying and in each section was papers of specific topics I did.
also I will mention I didn’t learn every higher topic, especially the end paper harder ones + my teacher refused to teach them. As long as you can answer past the staples (middle) of the paper and a bit further you will get a good grade. Past paper questions are the main thing here it’s better practice than just mathswatch. Watch a video then do questions on the topic. So I would watch E.g circle theorems video then on google find “gcse (edexcel for me) circle theorems questions/question sheets” and do them. Any u get wrong make sure u understand why.

Make sure you answer questions u think u might not find an answer to because working out can definitely get you marks even if there’s no final answer even things as simple as writing an equation formula!!
