Resitting Year 12

What subjects r u taking, what do u want to change to and what course do u want to take at uni?

Just be aware that if you are doing that badly they may not let you restart Y12 at all.

I’m doing Biology, Economics & Politics. I really hate politics & I tried to change it early on in the year but my teachers said it was too late. I really want to do Maths because I’m thinking of doing Biological Sciences at Uni but my subjects don’t really align with it.

U should check the unis u want to go to if they accept it, I’m also in yr 12 starting again it’s not a bad idea especially since it’s only one year and u don’t want to be stuck with something u don’t enjoy

I haven’t actually restarted yet, this is my first year of year 12 but I’m changing subjects in September(so In the same year as u)

I’m currently in failing Year 12. The main reason is because I don’t like all 3 of my subjects. I’m thinking of retaking because I don’t want to complete Year 13 with a subject I hate. Do you think it’s a bad idea and if it isn’t, does anyone know any good sixth form colleges that allow retakes in West or North London?

You should start by researching the colleges local to your area and seeing if any look good to you and offer the subject combination you want. If you find any then you need to phone them to see whether they are still accepting applications for the A level course starting September 2022. They should let you start year 12 again if they have spaces and if you have good enough GCSE grades for the subjects you want to study there.
