religion gcse quote please help :)

hi, just wondering what this quote means, as my teacher has recommended using it in the gcse exam, but i dont completely understand it.

'For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!' (Romans 5:10)

thank you for any help

"through the death of his son" shows how God brought salvation to humanity through Jesus' death even though "we were God's enemies" (probably saying that humans were sinners at the time or maybe even referring to original sin). I guess you could also say that it references reconciliation which is one of the sacraments.

hope this was helpful just came up with it on the spot
