I submitted mine on the 31st, but I ticked the disability box so I'm expecting it to take longer
Why? You've already been told it won't take longer.

Well I finally got an update, no offers yet only an email from my local Uni saying that they have the application and will get back to me soon. No word from the others as of yet.

EDIT: Just got my Ucas pack delivered after about 2 and a half months.

    Hurray for my two acknowledgments?

    No, not really.

I only sent my application 10 days ago, though... But I feel like I'm going mad! I check Track obsessively already and hardly any time has passed. I can't tear myself away from it.

I'd say the only cure for Track obsession is an offer. :p:
Once you have one offer you relax a little.

Ah! Such an inconvenient cure. I wan't to hear back from unis nooooow .

I feel so bad for people who have been waiting months. I probably would implode if I had to wait that long. Then again, I probably will be waiting that long considering soooo many people (an amount that startled me) applied long before the deadline. I'm stuck at the very bottom of the pile. It'll take ages for them to get to me!

Not true, I still check it religiously! I think the only cure is getting an offer from your first choice.

Okay, now that I think about it, you're right. If I heard from every uni other than my first choice, I'd probably still be checking Track as obsessively as I am right now. To be honest, if an offer came from anywhere other than my first choice, I don't even think I'd feel the relief of at leasting being given an offer.

I submitted my application for philosophy + economics / PPE at Oxford, LSE, UCL, Edinburgh and York in mid-October 2008 already. Apart from Oxford I haven't heard back from any one. Is that normal? Might that be because I'm an overseas student applying from Germany? Is there anybody already having heard back from those unis for the same courses?
    Appreciate your replies!

Only 3? Good luck though, I can't see any reason you wouldn't get in

    Thanks
    Yeah, only three.
I decided to just try for the unis whose courses I really loved (similar courses at other unis just didn't catch my eye in the same way) because I see no reason bothering to apply for uni in a country so far away from where I live if I'm not extremely passionate about it.

Which did you apply to and which one are you hoping for most?
