My daughter has received an offer for interview for natsci at Pembroke but has only one interview. Her friends at other colleges have two or three for natsci. Is one interview unusual? Just interested!

It’s more unusual I believe

Mine has two for Natsci at Jesus

You can check the interview spreadsheet to see if any have been reported
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1keQYMs8bbZhrZQ7hrlcvV25h1Q-S6FaMSeL6Co4PuuM/edit?usp=sharing

hang in there - my daughter's college was (and continues to be) slow but they get there

That spreadsheet is super useful!
Waiting for an answer either way for Medicine @ Pembroke

We got a reply a few minutes ago from Pembroke, We have 4 days to prep for the interview.

Good luck to all those that are still waiting!

Thank you, the waiting is horrible so I do hope you hear soon

Congratulations, that’s excellent news

More generally, how are parents supporting their children ahead of next week’s interviews?

I seem to be making lots of cups of tea and trying not to look stressed ;-)
Ahead of my DD’s interview last year I asked her if she wanted me to ask her questions from her PS or just discuss her chosen course with her. We did a bit of both just to really help her feel relaxed when talking about her passion. She’s now coming to the end of her first term there!
I am an applicant with an interview for CS, and just wanted to say how jealous I am that there are parents like you guys. My parents do not have that type of education (didn't finish secondary) or just the ability to help me in academic things. Just wanted to say that its really cool!

Ah I can’t help with the academic bit either! Your parents will be supporting you in ways you probably haven’t noticed, getting enough sleep and so on. Good luck 😊

My daughter had her HSPS interview last week and she said it was a long interview (only 1 interview). She enjoyed the interview but wondered whether it is a good thing that her interviewer commented she gave long answers/replies. 😅

yet somehow you got to this point, and my guess is that your parents helped you get there in ways you’ll never know. Whether I’m right about that or not, want to wish you the very best with your application ( CS is so competitive and you must be doing incredibly well so will thrive wherever you study!)

Hi there,

I think you said that your son is applying for maths? My daughter is in her first year studying maths. Please let me know if you have any questions about the interview, although my daughter said it was all maths and the interviewers barely even said hello!

Thank you that’s kind but he’s already had the interview now!

Sorry I was too slow!

I hope the interview went ok for him and he is happy with his performance. Best of luck with his application.

Thank you, he had two and felt one went well and one not so well. Wonder if it was in fact the other way around! He’s sanguine about it, thankfully!
Does Anyone know when the interview results are sent out? Do all colleges send them on the same day, or does it vary? Specifically Magdelene. Thanks

All* candidates receive the result of their application to Cambridge, via UCAS Hub, on 25th January.

* There are a very, very few (probably less that 0.25%) who may have to wait a further few days. These are those who were pooled, fished from the pool, and the fishing college opted to re-interview.

Good luck everyone. This is tense now. My son won’t be able to look at his phone in school unless he has a free period 😬

Offer for DD from Newnham. Don’t know the offer grades yet as it was all too emotional on the phone!

Child got offer grades of A* A E. Is this a mistake?
