The writer also uses language to describe Zoe’s feelings by using sentence forms, the writer uses short sentences to present her feelings and enthusiasm of being alive. Whilst about to ski Zoe says “ I am alive. I am an eagle.” The use of short sentences here emphasises the important point she makes here. There is enthusiasm in the way she says it as a short sentence provides the reader with that sense of joy as the moment in which Zoe says ‘I am alive’ illustrates to the reader that she went from hating life to loving it as before she thought she was dead. ‘ I am an eagle’ shows us that whilst she is skiing she is referring herself to an eagle, this portrays zoomorphism, this shows us that Zoe is relating herself to an animal.
