omg i totally agree, it was absolutely shambolic, never trusting AQA ever again. No 'waves' and if it does come up it'll be low tariff. IT SHOWED UP AND IT WAS 8 MARKSS. Might need to contact AQA and sue them for false INFORMATION but other than that, it was fine.

Was it low tariff questions, 1 or 2 markers, that added up to a total of 8 marks? If so I think it was stated in the advanced info that it can appear.

I got.
- Both +1 charge.
- Pion+ has a larger rest mass than pion neutral
- Pion neutral contains a strange particle
- Y contains a strange particle
- Pion+ mass greater than Y
- Y must have larger specific charge

Pretty raw if that’s the answer for like 2 marks though

How did you know which one has a larger rest mass?

First page of the formula booklet

Oh right
For the first grid in question 1 Did u get strangeness as -1 and 1

Yeh I did
Anyone else think it was really hard though?

We had the 2021 AS paper flr our mock in march, i thought it was easier than that paper
What did u guys do to fins acceleration

Rip, I haven’t tried 2021.

I got 1.2ms^-2

Change in y/ change in x

Could be wrong though

Hmm, a neutral pion does not have a strange quark? From the data, I concluded that Y was a K+ meson (meson, +1 charge, strangeness of -1) and compared the two rest energies of K+ and pion+. K+ has a greater rest energy, so has a greater mass (as E is proportional to m). Therefore it has a lower specific charge (as SC is inversely proportional to m).

I agree though, that was a pretty raw question but I don’t know how else you would find which is heavier…

Same what did u get? I think I got 0.247 (3sf as they said 10.0s)

Here’s hoping both can be right. Pion neutral can be strange and anti strange.

Edit, maybe it can’t.

I got like 0.21
But I think it's a big range as a tangent is hard to get.

Hi guys, https://filestore.aqa.org.uk/content/summer-2022/AQA-7407-AI-22.PDF this is the AQA as level advance information, would you guys say it was accurate?
I’m very much petrified for my Alevel exam next week so I just need some reassurance.
Thankyouu

It wasn’t accurate at all, lots of people doing other AQA have said the same.

:// thought there might have been hope as a lot of people also got confused with looking at the Alevel advance information. Thank you anyways ,
