Rule, Britannia! Watch

    When Britain first, at heaven's command,
    Arose from out the azure main;
    This was the charter of the land,
    And guardian Angels sung this strain:

    Rule, Britannia, rule the waves;
    Britons never will be slaves.

    The nations, not so blest as thee,
    Must, in their turns, to tyrants fall:
    While thou shalt flourish great and free,
    The dread and envy of them all.

    All together now

    Still more majestic shalt thou rise,
    More dreadful, from each foreign stroke:
    As the loud blast that tears the skies,
    Serves but to root thy native oak.

    Thee haughty tyrants ne'er shall tame:
    All their attempts to bend thee down,
    Will but arouse thy generous flame;
    But work their woe, and thy renown.

    To thee belongs the rural reign;
    Thy cities shall with commerce shine:
    All thine shall be the subject main,
    And every shore it circles thine.

    The Muses, still with freedom found,
    Shall to thy happy coast repair:
    Blest isle! with matchless beauty crowned,
    And manly hearts to guard the fair.

    No, let's not. Let's reclaim America for ourselves and return to the glory-days of times gone by!

    What a woman! That's what puts the "Great" into our "Great Britain".

    Rule, Britannia! And rule Britannia too.

    Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner, that I love London so.. :flute:

    Now this type of patriotism I advocate. :p:

    How would you feel about Brown commissioning the creation of a new (better) empire?

    :eyebrow: have a think about that sentence, then come back to me when you realise how stupid you sound.

    London, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Glasgow, Swansea, Ashton-under-Lyme, Loughborough - wherever you come from let's unite and rule the waves as the Great Brits that we are.

    Brilliant I urge everyone to send a letter to

    10 Downing Street
    London
    SW1A 2AA

    demanding the creation of such an empire immediately. If we get enough people he can't ignore us
