I applied for under and post and got an interview which I thought was for undergrad but am now thinking it might have been for both? I think if your UCAT was below 3000 you probably shouldn't expect an interview, it's so incredibly competitive and the grad contingent is so tiny that they can just put high cutoffs on stuff and move on. If you weren't aware, they are pretty famous for ghosting people and never even rejecting you, so, unfortunately, I think if you haven't heard by now they may well not be going to interview you.

If it helps, I got 3220 B1 UCAT and have a biochem masters. Applied last year with a much worse UCAT, 2880 B3 (oops) and never heard from them. If it's not going incredibly this year, I really recommend coming back with your renewed UCAT understanding because 3000+ is achievable if you already know what's going on and really focus on where you're weak (I recommend medify for drilling the bits you suck at).

they always give one interview for those who applied for both standard entry and gem:smile: so far, I don’t think they’ve sent out interviews for anyone that applied to only gem, from what I’ve seen they should reply mid-end of january

Thank you. That is phenomenally distressing, I treated it like a warm-up and didn’t realise I might have managed to mess up two degrees at once. I’m actually quite impressed with myself now I think about it.
Seriously though, thanks!

but also I’m not sure if one interview = one outcome for both degrees, maybe someone else @GANFYD(?) has more insight into this…

The cut offs can be different for the 2 courses, so may get an offer for one, both or neither

Got an email at 6:30pm today for an interview invite for the 5th of Jan  so much sooner than I expected honestly didn't think I'd receive one before winter holidays

I'm not entirely sure sorry but I think I saw something to say they give out results from January to March so I predict that they do !

Just got an interview for King's for GEM starting 2023 - if it helps, I got 3050 for my UCAT and have a masters in Medical Genetics (distinction).

Does anyone know if this will be a MMI interview (as most websites say for Kings) or a panel interview? I have received a message from them to say the interview will be with a 2 person panel, so I want to make sure I prep the right way!

I think it’ll be a panel, mine was.

Applied last year for A102 and they have yet to reject me from it. I think King’s tend just to not contact you if they don’t want you.

Oh really! Do you think everyone being interviewed would have heard by now?

Not necessarily! Couldn’t tell ya - if you got ~3000 in UCAT and have a 2:1/predicted 2:1 at least then I’d think you’d be in with a good chance, if not then I’m sorry to say maybe it might not come, but I have almost no idea. Good luck though!

Anyone hear anything today?

Reply 55

Haven’t heard anything? Do they send interviews out in batches or all in one go? Tbh I wasn’t expecting one but I’d wanna know if I got rejected

I’m not sure! The admissions office closes today and the first interview is 5th jan so I’m assuming all invites have went out for that?
