I would read A Christmas Carol over again so you remember the story and memorise any quotes/key themes
Hope this helps!

I like to make Mindmaps for each character and major theme, then sort of sub themes of different ways they’re represented for each one, with quotes and analysis to make sure you’ve covered pretty much anything that comes up, and once you’ve made them you remember the vast majority of it

I just write out the different themes and try to remember quotes for them, if I can't remember any I look at a copy of the play/novel and write them down. I do this until I know them by heart or can paraphrase them well enough. This works for different characters too, but I just go for themes more often because they're more open, and you can remember them more like that as it can be any character or narration. The analysis of the quotes after is your own interpretation imo.
