    Thanks..

    Do you mean write it in the form 3^y ?

    If you do then you'll need to find y by solving \frac{3^x}{\sqrt{2}} = 3^y.

    Anyone.....
    I showed you in my last post how to do it.

    It won't be a very nice answer though. Are you sure there isn't a 3 in the denominator. That would make more sense.

    Nope, just root 3... If i was to sove it with a 3^y, i'd end up with an x and a y
    Would it work if i tried \frac{3^x}{3^\frac{1}{2}} and then divided the 2 to get 3^x-1/5....??

    We're all busy people, allow more than 10 minutes for a response. notnek has already shown you the way to solve the question, but yes the answer will be horrible.

    I'm confused as to what the denominator is, in your first post you put:

    \frac{3^x}{\sqrt 2}

    But then in a later post you put:

    (Original post by .x.alexa.x.)
    Nope, just root 3... If i was to sove it with a 3^y, i'd end up with an x and a y
    Would it work if i tried \frac{3^x}{3^\frac{1}{2}} and then divided the 2 to get 3^x-1/5....??
    Please tell us if the denominator is either {\sqrt 2} or {\sqrt 3}
