Getting a job at 17

Is it possible to get a job at somewhere like Asda or sainsburys at 17 just for the summer (eg 2-3 months) or would you be more likely to get one if you were to stay after summer and work one or two days a week?

Also does anyone know what happens if you get a job and start earning money but your parents get benefits (eg universal credit)? Do they lose some of that money due to me working or does it not matter?
You’re best off getting in contact with your local stores, as some supermarkets do temporary contacts of eg 3 months, which sounds like it would be perfect for you
